DiveToolbox is a planning and educational tool designed to assist divers in preparing their dives. The decompression calculations are based on the Buhlmann ZH-L16C algorithm with gradient factors, which is a widely-used and well-established mathematical model. However, no software tool can replace proper training, experience, and sound judgment.

Important notices​

  • DiveToolbox is not a substitute for proper dive training and certification. Always dive within the limits of your training and experience. The tools provided are intended to complement -- not replace -- formal dive education.

  • No decompression algorithm can guarantee safety. Individual physiological factors, health conditions, hydration, fatigue, and other variables affect decompression risk. The calculated profiles are theoretical models, not guarantees of safety.

  • Always verify your dive plans with a certified dive computer and follow the more conservative plan when discrepancies exist between DiveToolbox and your dive computer.

  • DiveToolbox is not responsible for any injury, illness, or death resulting from the use of this software. Users assume all risks associated with scuba diving.

  • Gas blending calculations should only be used by trained individuals with proper equipment and knowledge. Always analyze your gas mixes independently with a calibrated analyzer before diving.

  • Consult a diving physician if you have any medical conditions that may affect your ability to dive safely.
