Export & Print
DiveToolbox lets you export your dive plan as a printed document or a downloadable PDF. Both options produce a clean, structured layout optimized for A4 paper, and you can choose exactly which sections to include.
Accessing the export feature
Click the Share / Export button in the dive planner toolbar to open the export modal. The first two tabs, Print and PDF, handle document export.
- Print: opens your browser's print dialog, where you can print directly or save as PDF via the browser's built-in "Save as PDF" option.
- PDF: generates a PDF file and downloads it directly to your device.
Selecting sections
Before exporting, you can choose which sections to include in the output. The modal presents eight checkboxes, each corresponding to a section of your dive plan:

| Dive Profile Chart | Depth-over-time chart with decompression ceiling and gas switch markers |
| Dive Plan Table | Segment breakdown with phases, depth ranges, durations, gas used, and PPO2 |
| Decompression Schedule | Deco stop depths, stop times, and gas used at each stop (shown only for decompression dives) |
| Planned Tanks | Tank specifications, gas mixes, volumes, working pressures, and MOD for each tank |
| Gas Consumption | Used, remaining, and reserve volumes for each tank |
| Safety Metrics | PPO2, CNS, OTU, END, and gas density values with their status |
| Plan Settings | SAC rates, descent/ascent speeds, PPO2 limits, and other diver profile settings |
Select all sections for a complete dive briefing document, or pick only the sections you need, for example just the dive plan table and gas consumption for a quick reference card.
Print layout
The exported document includes a header with the DiveToolbox logo, the plan name, and the date and time of export. Each selected section is laid out in a clear, structured format.

Key characteristics of the output:
- Optimized for A4 paper: sections are sized and spaced to fit cleanly on standard A4 pages.
- Color-coded: phase types, safety indicators, and status badges retain their color coding for easy reading.
- Self-contained: the document includes all selected data so it can be understood without access to the app.
The printed or exported document is a snapshot of your plan at the time of export. If you make changes to the plan afterward, you will need to export again to get an updated copy.
